Lexington Catholic wins this one. They have a very dynamic offense and will attack many different ways. I'm not 100% sure how the defense looks but I believe Jaylen Jones and friends score enough points to win. LC by 10.

Doesn't LexCath over 100 kids on their roster and some big boys on their oline. They should win this game easy.

Ryle comes off a big win again agains Covington Catholic. Mike Engler makes a return to his roots at Lexington Catholic as a Head Coach for the first time. Engler seems to have Ryle on the right path and etching a win against his old team would build even more momentum after last weeks big win.

 

For the home team the Lexington Catholic faithful would like to win their own marquee Blue Grass Bowl. Its been since 2009 that they have done this. Perry seems to have the Knights revved up offensively and defensively after taking care of business in Boone County last week.

 

Will this game be two teams looking a mirror offensively? Both will putting the ball in the air. Its the often um-heralded defensive backs and pass rushers that may be difference maker.

Anyway, after McCracken and Central Harden, I'm not gonna be surprised by a 3A team again. I'll go with Lex Cath 21-14.

Ryle has one of the best quarterbacks in the state. The kid is the real deal! I will take the Raiders by a score..

I would say this comes down to the run game. Both teams can air it out, but Ryle struggled in the run game this past week. Lex Cath seems to be a little better at spreading the ball throughout the field and that includes up the middle. I see Lex Cath taking this one by a small lead because of Ryles lack of an established run.

I know that you can't use the summers 7 on 7 as a measuring stick, cause Lex Catholic beat Ryle a few times.... but you can add Jalen Jones to the equation. He is back this weekend and I would like to know how Ryle is going to defend the pass and the run at the same time. I know Ryle is very talented as well, but to load the box to stop Jones and leave the receivers one on one? I like LC chances on that. LC in a slight win 24-28

It is at Lex Catholic. Its suppose to kick off at 2045 hours because there is a game prior to that at 1815 hours ( Saint X vs Henry Clay )

Defense will have to bring it this week for LexCath to win. Morgan is very, very good.

 

It will be nice to see them tested by an offense this good to see if the D has truly improved since last year.
