August 23, 201511 yr Iglesias with a baseball rarity. 40th time ever for a 1ER 13k+ outing that resulted in a loss. He pitched great today.
August 23, 201511 yr Does anyone know what it means after Frazier gets a hit and he acts like he's turning a steering wheel? Saw a D-Back do it after a hit last night. I must be out of the loop. Something to do with his little boy.
August 23, 201511 yr Its what players on losing teams do to make themselves feel like winners. One of the reasons I wish the Reds would have traded Frazier. He does a lot of little crap like that that really serves no purpose and makes the organization look bad. That's absurd even for you.
August 23, 201511 yr Something to do with his little boy. I've never heard any of the broadcasters mention what that is all about. So the D-back was basically making fun of him then? I thought it was a thing being done by lots of major leaguers that I had just missed

August 24, 201511 yr That's absurd even for you. Frazier is all pom and circumstance, does all this crap after every hit, just go to the base.
August 24, 201511 yr Reds haven't hit consistently , strategically, or in scoring situations for years . It's more than a problem now. It has become an expectation. It has become the norm. They need a new approach, a new mentality, and some better, more consistent offensive threats.

August 24, 201511 yr Wife got free tickets thru work to Saturday's games. First time in bleacher seats for us, but at least they were front row. After the first 10 pitches or so (and Goldschmidt hit his home run to put them up 3-0) my son turns to me and just shakes his head and says "It's going to be a long night." :lol2: But, the most amazing thing I saw at the park, was the guy sitting across the aisle from us. Dude drunk a 12-pack while we were there. Only reason I could keep track was that he lined his empties up on the railing in front of him. The only seats the guy could fit in the park are the bleacher seats...and he took up 2-3 of those easily. Guessing he weighs about 5 bills. The kicker was, he was drinking Miller Lite. My wife's co-worker said "Well, obviously, it's not helping!" :lol2:

August 24, 201511 yr Everybody says that and I know that is an old Baseball saying, but I am darn tried. Of seeing the Reds leaving runners on third, getting shutout (today) and starters striking out like crazy and batting in the .100's for months at a time. If you can't score, don't matter how good the pitching. Like today. The Reds strikeout less than 21 of the other 29 teams in the league.
