August 11, 201511 yr Numbers say otherwise People are interested in a side-show, just like a reality TV show, anyone will watch crap, or a train wreck, and that's Trump.

True, freedom of speech occurs when you're not really worried about getting elected. I really believe that's where Trump is coming from.
August 11, 201511 yr What happens to all of Trump's supporters if and when he is no longer a candidate? Do they automatically transfer their support to whomever wins the GOP nomination? Seems to be a big unknown, given their anger with "the system" and given Trump's reluctance to back the eventual GOP winner. Also, how does someone like Kasich get his message out when headline after headline has "Trump" in it?

Most probably will but I would imagine there will be those who just sit it out or go third party.

To woo these Trump supporters, Bush-Walker-Rubio will have to tap into this mostly male anger, yet at the same time address issues of concern to women. Not sure it's possible to do both.
August 11, 201511 yr It's not male anger. It's anger aimed at the Progressive agenda. Disagree. Regardless, the strategy for Bush-Walker-Rubio to capture these Trump voters will be to hammer Hillary over the head with negative ads, and that won't play well with independent females. And let's not forget, more female voters than male voters in this country.
August 11, 201511 yr It's not male anger. It's anger aimed at the Progressive agenda. Disagree. Trump has zero appeal to women. He doesn't give a crap about issues that are important to them or what they think. Megyn Kelly was tough on him and he made bimbo and period jokes about her. That's the kind of guy that's going to appeal to women?

August 11, 201511 yr Iowa poll: Trump still leads, but dented by debate The Suffolk survey has warning signs for Trump. By 2-1, 55%-23%, those surveyed say watching Trump in the debate made them feel less comfortable rather than more comfortable with him as a candidate for president. A 54% majority also reject Trump’s complaints that he was treated unfairly by the Fox News anchors who served as moderators; 41% agree with him. Then there's this: Trump scores a big lead among those who didn't watch the debate, at 21%, double the standing of retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who finishes second at 10%. But among those who watched the debate, Trump does less well, tied with Walker at 14%.
August 12, 201511 yr Author It's not male anger. It's anger aimed at the Progressive agenda. It's male anger. You're delusional if you think it comes equally from both sexes and minorities. To believe Trump can gain those votes is also delusional. But he does say he will constantly...maybe it's positive thinking.
August 12, 201511 yr Trump is truely NOT a candidate for women. He definitely appeals to a segment of society, but if any are women, it can't be enough to make a difference. For instance, I think Rosie O'Donnelly is extreme, bit his comments about her are just offensive. And if anyone is a "family values" voter, he isn't that guy either.
