Bats were certainly alive tonight. Votto was on base five times I think. BP had 2 three run HRs.

 

Pretty good size crowd.

An amazing game to just sit here and watch. BP with a "historic" night (where they come up with some these things sometimes amazes me), but he's the first to ever have 4 hits, 2 HR and 7 RBI and 2 SB. (I'm imagining it's the stolen bases that makes that feat).

 

I think they said the top three in the Reds lineup was on base 15 times tonight!

 

Then, looking at the box score line at the end, you see the Reds scored 15, and still left 13 on base.

 

Bet Lorenzen was thinking they could bottle some for tomorrow.

The next HR Bruce hits will be the 200th of his career. Might not happen in a Reds uniform.

Sounds like the Reds are playing real hardball with those who want to trade Chapman. Which is good. They should.

It is just real sad and disappointing that the Reds just cannot get runners in from third base with less than two outs. This and a bullpen blowing games have been the Reds main problem this year.

I gotta miss the game tonight for a buddy's wedding. It'll be a good time but I hate missing them, especially on bobblehead nights!

No matter the outcome of the game tonight the Cuban kid Iglesias pitched a heck of a game. he has some very good stuff and games like this can only help him grow. On a side note as down as I was earlier in the year on Bryan Price he is probably what this young pitching staff needs right now, two pitching coaches.

I'm really starting to like the way this Suarez swings the bat. I just hope it's not a fluke. He gives you some good at bats. A good win for the Reds. Chappie had some bad luck on those dinks off the end of the bat there in the 9th but got the save.
