July 24, 201511 yr Author And you think we can stop all 30,000 deaths or 100,000 shootings? I don't think so. And doing those things would be great, but how is the question. If we cut it a quarter in some way, wouldn't that be success? Number 1 not accept it. The mentality nothing can be done is pervasive in this nation. There are answers
July 24, 201511 yr If we cut it a quarter in some way, wouldn't that be success? Number 1 not accept it. The mentality nothing can be done is pervasive in this nation. There are answers I accept that it is a problem. The issue I have is that we won't stop it or slow it down until we stop the decay of the American youth. Home lives are getting worse and worse, parents make excuses for their kids instead of correcting their mistakes, people pass the buck, etc. That is where these issues start. Until that is corrected, gun violence won't be slowed.

Have we been decaying or are guns just more accessible to young people to make stupid decisions with?
July 24, 201511 yr Young people have been dying at higher rate since the 70's. Have we been decaying or are guns just more accessible to young people to make stupid decisions with? I'd say both. But at the same time, if values weren't decaying in youth, guns being more accessible wouldn't be an issue. You can put me in a room with an infinite number of guns and nothing would happen.

July 24, 201511 yr Most charts only run to 2011 or 12 that I could find...but as you can see Murder Rates at a 30 year low
July 24, 201511 yr Murder Rate Drops to 33-Year Low - ABC NewsMurder rate at 33 year low as gun ownership is higher than ever...it's not the guns. There you go inserting facts into a perfectly good gun-bashing. You should know better Jumper.
July 24, 201511 yr So...after all of this, I still haven't heard a solution from hellcat. Would love to hear one/some cause I'm all ears.
July 24, 201511 yr I'll summarize. African Americans kill way more African Americans using guns than terrorists police or illegal immigrants do, but we throw money and attention at the later and accept the former. Kind of makes :puke: My changes are noted. Care to discuss that?
July 24, 201511 yr First step in solving a problem. Admitting there is a problem. That's not an answer that's a cop out.
July 24, 201511 yr First step in solving a problem. Admitting there is a problem. I admit murder is a problem . Now what ? How do you end evil without taking away freedom ?
July 24, 201511 yr Young people have been dying at higher rate since the 70's. Have we been decaying or are guns just more accessible to young people to make stupid decisions with? Violent crimes by gun are on the decline. Next.
July 24, 201511 yr To the thread topic it's such a bad premise I didn't want to address it. If you can't tell the difference between murder and terrorism you don't need to be in a serious discussion. The entire premise is a deflection. Terrorist want to end the American way of life. They want us all dead , they want to end our freedom and they don't want our way of life to exist. The comparison are crimes out of passion , for wealth , anger , or pure mental instability. There is no motive for war or to bring down an entire way of life. It's pure deflection by a liberal author who doesn't want the 2nd ammendment and believes anyone questioning the middle east is a racist. I don't accept mental midget opinions as a serious topic of discussion.
