civilians only. It gets murky when you have civilians and military personnel such as Ft. Hood.

This photo was taken in Owensboro today. From comments I saw on Facebook apparently these gentlemen and some of their friends plan to continue to guard this office for who knows how long.

I'm not sure that this is the best solution to the problem but I admire the gesture. I assume that these men are veterans themselves.

If you think about it, this is a very surreal...and sad, picture. Sad in that fact that these men felt compelled to do this because the soldiers inside can't protect/defend themselves from an attack such as the one in Chattooga.

I appreciate the gesture, but if I'm a recruiter how do I know you're not a wingnut who may be going to turn your gun on me or anyone else around?

You should probably be worried about Radical Muslim Nuts.

A Vietnam Vet and his wife guarded the one in Paducah yesterday. It was on the front page of The Paducah Sun.

This was tweeted after the terrorist attack in Tennessee.

Is the flag ever lowered to half staff when a military member is killed in the line of duty?

I thought it was only lowered when civilians were killed.

If you think about it, a military member without his/her weapon is like a civilian.

This report says one Marine and one sailor fired weapons during the shooting.

The UK shirt alone should strike fear in anyone who might approach!

Dennis and his beautiful wife Michelle love UK as much as anyone I know.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this.

Serious question here - are potential recruits scared away by those guarding the offices?
