Also noted WRs are crazy-deep. Sent from my iPhone Now this is talk...when I here or read stuff like this it is blah, blah, blah. What has he improved on, have the longtime fan give some details! Was the longtime fan there for Drew's first college 7-7, when he checked out of the very first play the coach called because it was not a good concept vs that defense? Competition was on from jumpstreet, Coach Brown could not believe Drew was that far along in understanding defenses and how best to beat them! Initially, it wasn't supposed to be a competition but Drew was much much more ready to play than Coach Stoops and Coach Brown thought. They could see the physical but the understanding of the offense and understanding defenses was more than they could have hoped for from a freshman Qb.

August 16, 201511 yr While I am on a semi rant.... Mr. Towles is a terrific young man and I have a ton of respect for him. PT is nothing but polite, easy to talk to and has always been generous with his time. I think he has all the talent in the world and the sky is the limit for him both on and off the football field! While I certainly have a personal connection with Barker, I am absolutely rooting for Patrick! Who ever starts they are better because the other guy is there and they both will continue to improve as their careers progress. As a UK football fan, I think it is great that there are two elite talented Qbs battling it out and both young men are committed to improving. But to me the best part is that neither one of them are backing down or conceding the starting spot to the other. In the end, they will both have a shot at leading the team and I am confident that UK football will be better off because of them both. I do not have to cheer or root against someone or team to be 100% behind my guy or team. I can support, root, cheer, like, and be grateful to someone that isn't my "guy!" Good luck to both young men! Now, can one of those Qbs hook me up with a parking pass...I think I have a better chance catching the Loch Ness monster on a cane pole than getting a parking pass!
