I drove by the other day just checking it out,.. looks nice, can't wait to catch a game.

Are they on schedule to be ready for the season opener?

I am hearing that it will not be ready for week 1 and Highlands will be hosting.

That really wouldn't suprise me, although if all they were doing was putting in a football field it'd be done by now. But that is far from it. It's a 10 million dollar project... lots of buildings, lots of fields, lots of new roads and a track. It's a monumental task and I can't think of a place in our area that has done so much demo and new construction at one time. CCH's field was a large project and this one dwarfs that, none of the other facilities spent one tenth of that. Highlands, Beechwood and now Newport have or are putting in new turf, but not changing much of the existing stadiums while doing it. This is more than just a sports complex, it's a total redesign of all school parking and roads as well as new football, baseball, and softball stadiums, 3 tennis courts, and a grass practice field. Not to mention, concessions (expanded funnel cake area), restrooms, visiting locker rooms and more.I didn't fully appreciate that untill I started seing it built. Oh well, I can wait if it isn't done, cause it will be worth it after all these years.

I wish that architect had a drawing of the project on their site.

I saw one somewhere, of the whole complex, but i cant think of where.

But like Sandman said, I am sure it has changed a hundred times since they started it.

It's not the same as when I saw it, but all the pieces are. I guess we'll get our answers soon enough. Their doing a heck of a job up there. Even though it seems like an eternity for some of us.

They had one in the lobby of the gym, but as Sandman said, that has changed.

Any new pics? I drove by yesterday it looks pretty good.
