June 23, 201511 yr Are you saying these buttons were authorized by the Clinton-Gore campaign? Highly doubtful, says the Washington Post. What those Clinton-Gore Confederate flag buttons say about politics in 2015 - The Washington Post I wondered about that when I saw the pix. Anybody with 50 bucks or so can start making buttons.

What those Clinton-Gore Confederate flag buttons say about politics in 2015 - The Washington Post Maybe not, probably just some hard core democrat supporters like yourself made them and distributed them across the southland. But there is NO WAY they would admit to it now, even if they were printed in the Clinton's Kitchen.

Even if the candidates didn't do it someone I bet in the DNC establishment (State or National level) thought they were a good idea. If you want one as a collectors item they were available on EBay at one time. But of course Bubba the Great can do no Wrong!!! :lol2:

Years ago, our "work activity program" for MR/DD adults started a fledgling button-making operation. We purchased the blanks from a company called Parisian Novelty Company. Of course, that was one of the invoices that the auditors pulled that year.:lol2:

And when there's proof that he authorized these; I'll be right there in line saying he made another mistake.:thumb:

June 23, 201511 yr I get that, what happened that suddenly made the Confederate Flag off limits? The Confederate Flag has been under attack for at least 20 years, did no one care about it or think it was offensive before that? I don't find it offensive but I'm not black. I just don't get the point of supporting a flag of an army who attacked the United States.
June 23, 201511 yr I don't find it offensive but I'm not black. I just don't get the point of supporting a flag of an army who attacked the United States. That's always been where I am. As a bona fide really white dude, I don't feel that racism. I see the flag of traitors and it makes me sad as an American that people would still fly such a thing.

Mexican flags flown all over the southwest, over some government buildings and businesses...they attacked the US. I'm not defending the flag, take it down. Just wondering what caused the change in attitudes.

But I think a resonable person can see the difference in the examples you gave.
