Reds getting ready to trade Cueto and Leake?

Let's hope! Or they are short arms because Moscot had to go on the DL and Marquis sucked

I honestly think it's just filler but who knows as they also traded a PTBNL for Collin Balester of the Pirates the other day so that makes 3 journeyman pitchers.

The 29-year-old Balester has pitched in 73 major league games, but has spent most of his career in the minors. He has performed well in 2015 with 26 hits allowed in 35 innings and a strong 2.31 ERA in 21 appearances at Double-A and Triple-A. He threw 1 and 1/3 scoreless innings for Louisville last night.

Cueto's next start (Tuesday) is pushed back to Friday to "give him extra rest" or to allow time for a deal to get done.

A deal to get done. We enjoyed watching you Jonny Beisbol.

That was my first thought as well. We shall see.

Read a day or so ago that the Dodgers are really wanting him, but may not be willing to offer as much in return as some others.

I have heard the Dodgers system is loaded and any of their top prospects would be a good get in return.

....

I will be SHOCKED if anyone is dealt before July 15th.

I tend to agree, but can't understand the logic at all. Not sure why they think they have to wait until after the ASG to start selling.

If they somehow pulled in Corey Seager I would be very jealous. From what I've heard though the Dodgers love him so I doubt they would part with him.

I think that's the hold up...since he is in essence a "Rental" they don't want to part with a top prospect.

Any other year then I agree, but it would be really embarrassing to Castellini IMO if anyone is in another uniform in a all star game in your city.

As I said in one of the numerous threads on the subject in the off-season, Mr. C. does not want to look like a fire-sale is occuring before they host the ASG, and he wants to remain as competitive as they can up until that point. I obviously agree with you that it is silly, but that isn't our call to make.

Aroldis Chapman also placed on paternity leave.
