I said let's assume Jenner's only reason is he felt trapped. And, why did this lady do this? Does she really think that she is black? Or was it was way to get a career and money?

 

The whole theory of her thinking that she is really black fell apart as soon as she was asked if she was black, and her response was "I don't understand the question". She knew she was caught. If she really felt that she was black she would have responded differently. Then she was asked "your parents, are your parents white?" And she doesn't respond and just walks off? If she really believes she is black she would have responded differently.

 

Then her adopted younger sister, who is black, she told people it was her daughter? To me it wasn't anything about thinking she was black.

 

IMO she realized she was caught. But I'm open to her explanation, if she can give a straight answer.

I'll be honest I haven't read one thing this woman has said, I'm speaking more in generalities. What little I have seen seems to be general skepticism that anyone could actually identify as being another race but there is no problem among some of saying a person can be genetically and anatomically 1 sex but "identify" as the other. I don't understand the difference or the distinction. Then again I guess it's all about who's saying it, Elizabeth Warren was pretty much given a pass when she said she was native American.

What about the person who has a mixed grandma (possibly some Cherokee in there also) and black grandpa on one side and white grandma and grandpa on the other side (maybe a little Cherokee in there too)? Where does that person fall in? Do they get a choice, or can they enjoy the best of both worlds?

In the scenario listed above, I would say the person could identify themselves as just about any race. That is not what I am talking about though and you know it. I just saw the NAACP lady's parents. They are about as white as milk. I think it is pretty clear she does not identify herself as black though. She was just lying about it to advance her career...different issue.

It sounded like a "resign or be removed" type situation. Spokane is now investigating whether she lied when she applied to be on the police board and police are suspending investigation into racial harassment complaints she has filed. What a mess.
