June 8, 201511 yr I'm thinking Curry wishes Irving was still playing. He will have nightmares of Delly in his grill the next couple of nights...
June 8, 201511 yr Let's call it what it is. Golden State is better but the Cavs do have some things in their favor. Cavs are great on the boards and Thompson is able to switch a ton of picks. In Delly they have a guy that is scrappy and can focus only on pestering Curry. If the Warriors shoot well , the Cavs don't have enough offense. If they don't and Cleveland's gets some production outside LBJ the Cavs can hang around. I'd love to see Cleveland win it but know it's unlikely. I do think fully healthy they'd be the best team in the league. The thing is...the Cavs have been one of the top defensive teams in the playoffs. Their defense helped them a ton and they won despite JR Smith being an idiot.
June 8, 201511 yr The Cavs should be up 2-0. Instead they go home with momentum and the series split 1-1. They are still in a good spot.
June 8, 201511 yr John Starks probably happiest person outside of Cleveland fans tonight. His horrible shooting night got surpassed, at least on 3s.
June 8, 201511 yr I hyped Mo Speights last game but tonight he was Mo Speights. How can he miss a dunk like that?
June 8, 201511 yr It is so hard to officiate guys as athletic as the NBA guys but man did they miss some calls late tonight. Two jump balls Green obviously grabbed guys. LBJ was just raked across both arms right in front of Brothers (ref) on one - no call... I honestly think that he didn't call the foul because he knew that LBJ obviously traveled prior to getting fouled, which doesn't make it right though. It all worked out in the end though, the more deserving team won.
June 8, 201511 yr Curry was awful, and Green was non-existent for 98% of the game. Cavs did what they needed to steal this one. Agreed, it won't happen again IMO. Tomorrow night we will be laughing at how everyone thought Delly is the Curry stopper.
June 8, 201511 yr Will someone tell me why Moztov does not play the 4th quarter and OT? Thompson could not score in an empty gym tonight and he does not come out and Moztov was a scoring presence the first half (which Cleveland needs badly right now). I just don't get it. Tonight was not great basketball but it was exciting to watch. The refs really struggled tonight too IMO... Thompson is much more versatile on defense and the Warriors went super small. I thought he should have been in at times though.

June 8, 201511 yr Agreed, it won't happen again IMO. Tomorrow night we will be laughing at how everyone thought Delly is the Curry stopper. It is going to be interesting to see. The way Delli played defense on D Rose is what caused me to think Delli could mess with Curry. His feet are so quick he is able to get up into the shooter and still prevent him from going around him. The Warriors are going to pummel Delli with picks in the next game. Spread the floor and every time Delli switches on a pick send the picker to the low post and get him the ball. That will force Cleveland to take him off the floor
June 8, 201511 yr This is the best time of the year! Love it! Anyone notice at the end of the game, Cavs were very emotional, screaming, flexing, hugging. Then there is JR Smith, who was basically taking a "phew" deep breath, since he had at least 3 dumb fouls that almost caused CLE the game.  Delevedova played extremely well, but there's no way the MVP has another game like that. And the Real MVP (LBJ) might average 40 in this Finals. Crazy.
June 8, 201511 yr What Dellavedova did great on Curry is deny him the ball. In order for Curry to embarrass Dellavedova he's going to have to play selfish. When Dellavedova was on Curry when Curry gave the ball up Dellavedova wouldn't let him get it back easily if at all. Ball Denial 101.
