I love Huntington bank, down fall is not a lot of locations.

Yes. Total tool bags. Can never get any accounts correct and totally screwed up one of my long standing auto pays. If it wasn't such a hassle to change all of our pay sites I would dump them in a heart beat.

Not really... It was just the first bank I chose when I moved to Louisville and I have been with them since. I've never had any trouble out of them. I don't do any auto-pays though, so I can't comment on how good or bad they are with that kind of thing.

I bank with a local bank in Henderson. They had a Branch in the frankfort area but junk they closed it.

 

We don't hve any fees. If I use a different banks ATM and get charged a few my bank reimburses it.

I've been with US Bank since 1998. I only use my check card, internet and the app. All are very easy to use, as a matter of fact, I still have my FirstStar checks.

5/3 is my way to go. Their mobile app is convenient and easy to use and you can pay bills/deposit checks on it.

 

Although I have nothing to compare it to.

I use Chase for my primary account and have no issues. Electronic banking is fantastic.

 

For the most part the same 5 companies provide the Internet banking and online billpay for all the local and regional banks. I work for one of those companies. They all have their pluses and minuses. But, I bring it up because there's a decent chance you will switch from one bank to another and never switch who provides the online side of things if you go local-to-local.

We have been with Huntington for about 8 years. The older kids also use Huntington.

They did add coffee…which is a bonus if you are attempting to see one of the personal bankers and not just doing basic transactional items. I like the actual interior of the bank, but much like Walmart, if you have lots of clear offices, and on Saturday morning no one filling those to serve customers, it doesn't go over well. Oh, and mine has Half and Half so while I'm enjoying my wait I can enjoy that cup. (The TV monitors have random trivia questions if you watch long enough, seems to me they planned to keep me in there for a while….)

I have accounts at fifth third and Chase. I prefer Chase.

I would go with a local credit union personally. I switched to members choice in Ashland 10+ years ago from national city and won't ever go back to a big national bank. If I want a loan they can approve it on the spot, rather than negotiating with another corporate office. Higher interest rates for savings accounts. They have a nice website for online banking along with an app for android or iOS devices. Honestly I couldn't ask for a better bank.

I use 5/3 as well for my banking. I pay all of my bills online and have not had any issues in over 10 years.

 

My only complaint with 5/3 was the home loan refinance process. Their rates were outlandish, so I went with Guardian Savings Bank and never looked back on that front.
