I should add, ease of use on the electronic side of banking (doing everything via the Net) would be my primary interest.

Huntington has great online banking. Blows 5/3 and PNC out of the water in that area. Easy to use use, nice layout, billpay setup is great. Downside is not many offices in some areas if you need to go inside.

Darn you Fifth Third bank. Way to change your online platform on us with no notice, and wipe out all of our user reports. This has been a fantastic friday.

I've been with US Bank since 1998. I only use my check card, internet and the app. All are very easy to use, as a matter of fact, I still have my FirstStar checks.

Little bank I used to use was called "Dad". Went out of business years ago due to threatening collection policies combined with a lot of uncollectible debts.

My primary account is with Republic Bank in Louisville, and I've been with them for over 20 years. GREAT service, and great experiences all around.

 

I have a separate, US Bank account, and I love that as well.

 

At this point, neither bank has a branch close than 40 miles to me. So, I'm looking into the banks around here for a 3rd account for mostly local use.

I hated closing out with them a few years ago, but with no branch in Bardstown — nearest was in Loretto or Springfield, a 20-minute drive away — it didn't make sense to stay on with them. I had been with them since it was Star Bank.

I think I saw that Town and Country Bank has a branch in Leitchfield, if I'm not mistaken. I bank with them and have no issues.

No one says you have to choose one bank. Spread it around. Use a credit union and a local bank and a regional bank and a national bank if you are able to.

Actually, it's Wilson and Muir, who I do some secondary stuff with. They have branches in Leitchfield as well as the E'town area, and they also have a branch in St. Matthews.
