Have you not liked a poster then after meeting them you changed your mind?

For those of you who have met.

How often do you hear the other person's voice in your head when you read their posts?

While I haven't met PP92, I have heard his voice on basketball broadcasts and I can't wrap my mind around it. I still hear a different voice in my head when I'm reading his posts.

I'll tell you one I was completely wrong about - my friend Hellbird. When he first started posting on here we had some "tiffs" re: Conner and Cooper.

Met him in person and he could not be any nicer. My wife and I went with him and his wife to see Sundy Best in Newport. Fun dude. Extremely, extremely nice.

You do get a picture on here , albeit limited in scope, by reading people's posts. Some you think "not for me" only to find you really like them. Others you know "he's my guy" right away.

My family doesn't even refer to MTGL by his name anymore. They just call him my boyfriend.

The behind-the-username impression is often 180 degrees out. Cases in point:

Clyde ain't black.

RTS doesn't carry a pitchfork.

rockmom isn't a snarling harridan.

Randy is nice.

I could go on and on.

My homework for the rest of the day....harridan, is that some kind of Maysville word ?

I've never met anyone (that I know of), but in my head

Clyde = Howard Cunningham (Happy Days)

RTS = Michael Conrad (Hill Steet Blues)

RM = Shirley Partridge (The Partridge Family)

Randy = whiney little kid :lol2:
