In addition, Kraft said he supports Goodell's position in discipline matters. Translation: We reached a deal. Exactly! I could see the Brady suspension potentially being rescinded, with an explanation of something along the lines of "While it appears there was some sort of intentional manipulation of the footballs, there is no direct connection between any one player and the implied actions. Because of this the league doesn't feel it is reasonable to suspend a player on what "may" have happened. However, this is a clear instance of an organization failing to cooperate with an official league investigation, therefore we feel the penalties applied and accepted against the Patriots organization as a fair discipline and the matter closed."
May 19, 201511 yr Sad thing is the team and franchise has to pay for Brady's cheating while he ends up getting off basically Scott free when they reduce his suspension. If anything his suspension should stand and the teams penalties taken away.

So who do they "move" that to? The Commissioner. While I get what they are saying, the Commissioner is doing exactly what the NFLPA and owners agreed to in allowing him to be the appeal entity. That part is what does get tiring with me from that side, regardless of their opinion on Goodell. He removed himself from the investigation part, which was a good move.

Name any stance the NFL could have taken that would have been applauded. People have clamored for punishments ranging from nothing to forfeiture of games. The stance the NFL should have taken was BEFORE the game. The Colts tipped them off. I'd rather them get caught red handed just like they did. If they weren't doing anything wrong they wouldn't have anything to worry about.
