They do know Brady was behind it but they can't say that because they don't have the smoking gun because Brady refused to turn his phone over for the investigation.

 

If he didn't have anything to hide he would have turned it over. Now he looks even more guilty after all the garbage he said after they got caught.

 

He could have a WHOLE BUNCH of things on his phone that have nothing to do with deflate-gate that he doesn't want to get out to the public...and once you give your phone to someone else, you run the risk of "leaks" about you or your family. I don't blame him one bit for not giving up his phone.

What about the possibility that Brady requested the balls to be deflated to the lowest possible level while still being legal? (Think NASCAR). That would be perfectly normal for a QB to ask. What if the clubhouse guys went too far or deflated them to the legal limit and the cold air did the rest? I find it hard to believe that Brady ordered the balls deflated to below the legal limit for all the balls except one.

Steelers/Pats has been pulled from betting boards. I think they suspect a suspension might be in the cards for Tom. That would be sort of poetic. He and Bell watching would be interesting.

I think the 12th ball was very low also, but just barely at the limit. Dude did it in a couple of minutes in the bathroom supposedly, pretty sure he didn't have time to check the pressure on each after doing it. Just didn't take as much out of that one as the others.

It's not a good look for Tom but this scenario is totally plausible. Tom could simply say there is too much air in the ball and he could expect McNally to lower the balls legally. Of course that won't stop Patriots haters from assuming cheating and it still isn't a good look for Tom but your post is 100% plausible.

I'd prefer they suspend him for the second game.

And for the Patriots to say they would have their full cooperation but not make McNally available for a second interview seems a little fishy.

Sure, we can come up with any fantasy scenario.

of McNally or the other guy is let

go by the team. I'm kind of hoping they are especially the one guy who wasn't a fan of Brady's anyway because they would surely spill the beans in the whole thing unless they are paid off by Kraft which is very feasible too.

Report also states that 3 of the 4 Colts balls measured were under the minimum, but no one wants to hear that....:idunno:

I don't think Brady did anything wrong here. Dude made a request, others broke the rules, even if it was actually a demand.

 

If two of us are in a car, and I'm the passenger, I can continually request for you to drive faster, even demand it. When you do and get pulled over for speeding, only one of us it getting in trouble with law enforcement and its not going to be the demanding passenger.

NFL Initially Gave Patriots Bad Information Regarding PSI Levels of Tested Balls

 

“The inspection, which involved each ball being inspected twice with different gauges, revealed that none of the Patriots’ game balls were inflated to the specifications required under Rule 2, Section 1,” Gardi wrote. “In fact, one of the game balls was inflated to 10.1 psi, far below the requirement of 12-1/2 to 13-1⁄2 psi. In contrast, each of the Colts’ game balls that was inspected met the requirements set forth above.”

 

The Wells report notes that not a single measurement of any of the New England footballs reflected a PSI reading of 10.1. In fact, only one measurement of one football was as low as 10.5 PSI.

 

The Wells report also points out that Gardi’s comments about the Colts’ game balls was not accurate. On one of the two gauges used to test the footballs, THREE of the four Colts balls tested were UNDER the limit of 12.5 PSI."

My guess is a fine for the organization, the dismissal of the two equipment guys, and a 1 game suspension for Brady will be the extent of the discipline.
