May 6, 201511 yr SportsCenter @SportsCenter 37m37 minutes ago NCAA adds 3 new bowl games, setting new record of 42 in 2015. 82 of 127 FBS teams will play in bowl next season.
May 6, 201511 yr Too bad money is involved. All we need is the top 16 in playoff format and nothing else. Unless there is a super compelling matchup I won't watch any bowl games that don't include FSU, UK, UL, WKU at all until the playoff games start.
May 6, 201511 yr I don't have a problem with it as long as the criteria is winning 6 games What happens if they don't have enough to qualify? Do those bowls get cancelled?
May 6, 201511 yr What happens if they don't have enough to qualify? Do those bowls get cancelled? I have always wondered that. I assume they just don't play
May 6, 201511 yr For many College football players, this is their last chance to the play the game. I'm all for adding an additional 3 and giving some teams a chance to travel play 1 more game of college ball. Win or lose, if the NCAA can afford it; the boys deserve it.
May 6, 201511 yr There's always enough in a 6 win qualifying system. Not all 6 game winners play in a bowl game every year. They qualify, but may not get selected.

There's never been more than the 81 "bowl eligible" teams there were last year. There were consistently only 72 eligible until they relaxed the standards two years ago, and there were 79 in 2013 and 81 last year.

May 6, 201511 yr As much as I will probably love watching these bowls, if you are 6-6 team you don't deserve a post season.
