April 29, 201511 yr Learned that from the toothpick. Don't waste a pinch hitter in the 5th. When you're playing a man down you can't waste pinch hitters, especially when the pitcher is about as capable as the guys you'd be bringing in to PH.
April 29, 201511 yr LeCure is not the answer to anyone's bullpen problems. He has been awful at AAA I told you, it was the redheaded GF
April 29, 201511 yr Why did Price let Lorenzen hit in the bottom of the 5th with no outs, then not let him pitch the 6th? I understand not pitching the 6th, he had over 100 pitches, but why not pinch hit, especially with no outs. It is like giving an out away in a tight game, which the Reds are really good at. I was actually very glad they let him hit. He's not your average hitting pitcher he's a heck of an athlete that could've just as easy been an everyday outfielder if a team wanted him to be. The way he battled and in his major league debut I think he earned the chance for a second ab especially after he had probably the best at bat of the game his first time up. I really don't think that decision had a big impact on the game.
April 29, 201511 yr Joel Luckhaupt @jluckhaupt #Reds bullpen has allowed at least one run in 14 of 18 games where they pitched (not counting when Chapman was the sole reliever).
April 29, 201511 yr Maybe Walt wants to rebuild and trade Cueto/Chapman? It really is one of the only logical possibilities I can think of as to why you continue to run this garbage out.
April 29, 201511 yr Maybe Walt wants to rebuild and trade Cueto/Chapman? It really is one of the only logical possibilities I can think of as to why you continue to run this garbage out. Wouldn't you bring up the young guys and let them get some experience if that were the case?
April 29, 201511 yr That could be about as bad of an inning I have watched. 2 bunts singles, hit batter, and BOOM. Good job Jumbo, you seved up a JUMBO hit Did they credit a hit on that first bunt, the one that Jumbo threw in the dirt to second base?
