If true there isn't any stopping it now.

C'mon, the alleged incident took place back in December. Why do you wait until April Fools Day to release this? Put me in the extremely skeptical camp.

Floyd County Times article about the game with no mention of the incident:

LEXINGTON - After dropping its opener to host Lexington Catholic on Friday, Betsy Layne edged Campbell, N.H., 72-70 in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic on Saturday.

The Bobcats, however, continued their appearance in the Lexington Catholic-hosted holiday tournament with back-to-back losses to Lexington opponents Bryan Station and Henry Clay.

Betsy Layne was facing Perry County Central in the Lexington Catholic tourney on Tuesday. Results from the Betsy Layne-Perry County Central boys’ basketball game were unavailable at press time and will appear in Friday’s edition.

Betsy Layne 72, Campbell (N.H.) 70: Lako Daniels registered a double-double and two of his teammates joined him in double figures in the scoring column as Betsy Layne edged Campbell (N.H.) 72-70 in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic on Saturday.

Lexington Catholic 90, Betsy Layne 57: Host Lexington Catholic led 54-24 at halftime en route to defeating Betsy Layne 90-57 in the opening round of the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic on Friday.

Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 25 points, 20 of which he scored in the first half. J.J. Ogbogu scored 13 points and Seth Cambron netted 11 for Lexington Catholic in the victory.

I also contacted Steve LeMaster and I am waiting to hear back.

And I will say it right now, either this is true and it is going to be a big time national news story once more details are released or the Fayette County Public school system is going to have a field day in court because players from one of their schools appear to have been accused of hate crimes (allegedly).

Seems like a bad movie script.

As I stated earlier....

My folks at Bryan Station say it wasn't their school involved in this incident. I trust my people. They are very solid.

If that is true, this might be the most poorly written article ever .

Hard to believe that with all the people on BGP connected to this story is a variety of ways (coaches, fans, officials, parents) and all of the topics posted here that this one slipped by. I've heard far less sensational stories get circulated through the gyms like a house-a-fire and EVERYBODY missed this one ?! How is that possible ?

Lexington Catholic defeated Betsy Layne by 33. Henry Clay defeated Betsy Layne by 39. Bryan Station defeated Betsy Layne by 32.

I was at the tournament everyday and never heard a word of this. I even heard about the Johnson family being disappointed with false stories about them being circulated in less than 10 minutes after those false stories were circulated and never once heard a word about this.

Lexington Catholic defeated Betsy Layne by 33. Henry Clay defeated Betsy Layne by 39. Bryan Station defeated Betsy Layne by 32.

A simple typo could have a huge impact here, couldn't it.

I trust my sources.
