March 27, 201511 yr AD googling "Cincinnati area code" My cousin's husband is a huge UT fan, and he said the name being tossed around is Steve Prohm.
March 27, 201511 yr Does Tennessee take a swing at Marshall, if he said he'd listen to Alabama he has to listen to Tennessee, right?
March 27, 201511 yr Does Tennessee take a swing at Marshall, if he said he'd listen to Alabama he has to listen to Tennessee, right? Don't think they have the money to throw at Marshall right now.
March 27, 201511 yr Author Will be interesting to see what Marshall does with UT, Bama, and Texas all open or about to be open.
March 27, 201511 yr Don't think they have the money to throw at Marshall right now. I thought I read a while back that UT was one of the more profitable AD in the SEC
March 27, 201511 yr Author So in some fashion, Texas, Bama, and UT end up with Marshall, Prohm, and Mack, no?
March 27, 201511 yr So in some fashion, Texas, Bama, and UT end up with Marshall, Prohm, and Mack, no? Shaka will try to smoke and mirror himself into a conversation. I think Prohm ends up at Wichita. Archie and Hurley will likely be in the mix to replace the guys who get the plum jobs. Lot of dominoes to fall over the next 3 weeks. Buckle up.

One of my favorite times of the college basketball season. The moving and shaking fascinates me.
March 27, 201511 yr Don't think they have the money to throw at Marshall right now. UT wouldn't go to $2 million last summer, which is why they ended up with Tyndall. Now, given what they have just gone through, my guess is they can get to or over that mark. That said, Bama and Texas will be / could be another million higher. I think Mack to Tennessee is the most likely.

Is Tennessee a better job than Xavier right now?
March 27, 201511 yr One of my favorite times of the college basketball season. The moving and shaking fascinates me. One thing to be mindful of, and I'm certainly not directing this at you (although I know I'm quoting you), but don't lose sight of all of the people that aren't making $2 million per year that these next few weeks will impact. Think of all of the assistants and DBO's that make $30-$70k per year that are going to be told they are out of a job. Or, they are going to be told if you want to keep your job you have to move your family to Wichita, KS next week. Imagine if your boss came in to you today and said, "UKMF, you know you're my guy, so I wanted to tell you I'm taking a job 1,000 miles away and if you want, you can come with me for a 20% pay raise. Let me know by next Friday." Think of all of the development people who make $50k that are going to have to deal with angry boosters at jobs that are going to be called "stepping stone jobs" and that they aren't giving any more money until the school steps up and keep a coach. Think of all of the ticket managers making less than that that are going to have a glut of cancellations because of a change at the top and that if their average turnstile next year goes down they are going to be out of a job. It is exciting and fun and games for the guys going from $1.5 to $2.5 -- but the other 90% that are impacted is who you should worry about.
