March 24, 201511 yr Love Gregg Marshall's honesty....Basically said he's not heard from Alabama, but if they want to make a crazy offer, he'll listen. Said it would take an awful lot. Diplomatic answer and I think he's honestly going to pass on Alabama and wait for the "right" job to come along. Even if it isn't this season, you'd have to think that something better comes along and he has more to lose by going to Alabama and taking a chance on toiling in obscurity than he does staying put at Wichita State where a bad year wouldn't hurt his asking price nearly as much.
March 24, 201511 yr Pastner is from Arizona, he was a graduate assistant at Arizona, and his father was a long time AAU coach in the state, I believe. Memphis hasn't seemed to be a very good fit, but he has regularly went to the NCAA Tournament. Arizona State seems completely disinterested in basketball and Sendek only went to the tournament twice. Pastner's "success" is way more than what they have, which is why he might be appealing. Pastner isn't from AZ. He grew up in Houston and got into AAU early as a coach. He walked on at UA so he could learn coaching from Lute Olsen.
