Can someone please explain to me why there is so much Camel bashing going on??? Didn't play with heart, didn't show up. Let's face it, the Camels did not have a good game and CovCath played great. CovCath was prepared and did the job they know how to..win. I didn't see a lack of heart from the Camels. They played a good first half but laid an egg in the 2nd half. They switched between man and 1-3-1 zone. Coach Russell has 3 regional championships (one of those being in the 9th) in the last 6 years (maybe 5 years) so I would say that he knows how to coach. As far as making fun of a coach on the bench, show some class. How old are you, grow up.

The crazies were in full force but we're kind of hohum to me. They just didn't do anything new and original. Same ole stuff. Don't get me wrong, would love to see that support for my team, but I left a little dissapointed. Was expecting a "show". They were out done by the Camel student section. They had a huge following tonight but absolutely did not cheer. Only when a basket was made. Maybe they were just glad to be there.

 

Oh and for the game, was it me or was that the quietest 29 points CVH has had. Couldn't believe he had that many. Nothing too crazy, he was just doin his job. And did it well at that. I guess that's they way he plays. Awesome hustle and sweet stroke.

I wasn't at the game, but I saw a few pictures of the Cov Cath student section. Last year, they were able to have the back half of the student section come fill the whole lower section. So they had a shorter wider section instead of a long and narrow section as seen in the picture. When it is long and narrow it is hard to communicate through out the section. Not sure what the Camel student section looked like.

There is no bashing going on. Just explaining what went wrong with the Camels.

Colonel defense was the difference IMO. 18-14 Campbell at the end of the first quarter and Campbell scores 25 the last three quarters. CCH defense completely clamped down and was much more active. I'd agree that spreading the crazies out up and down the stands made it tough for them to communicate.

Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the online video. Looking forward to the next CCH game (hopefully win). Good luck Colonels.

Playing the first game of the session, the Crazies couldn't fill the other section due to Williamsburg playing the next game. Having the second game on Friday should fix this hopefully.

It was my pleasure to meet Andy Flood after the game tonight. Besides being one of my favorite players from Cov Cath he is such a nice and polite young man. I love the way he plays. High B-ball IQ, and makes plays that don't show up in the stats.

 

Best of luck Cov Cath the rest of the tourney . Think you have a real shot at a repeat.

Covcath is really rolling right now.

I missed the first quarter, did the Camels really play Man to man defense against Cov.Cath? I couldn't believe it when I started watching. Someone's not during their homework. Unbelievable.

 

When they played zone it was beaten miserably. Really,didn't have a choice.

 

Cvh started slow but after he hit his second three, he went off. His scoring was impressive, but at then end of the game, during time killing time, he was extremely strong with the ball and made great decisions. All the while getting hacked. IMHO he should have had another 4 or 5 attempts at the line but the refs weren't calling it.

IMO, the Crazies, while extremely loud and boisterous, have become a bit stagnant. Same ole, same old! It has been a couple of years since I have seen anything new.

Still want them on my side!

First time I have seen CC play.....number and 14, 15 were a handful. After the first quarter, CCH fronted and backed 14 but stil couldn't stop him from getting his points, and 15 seemed to lose some confident after a few misses.....he has a great shot....

 

Cc didn't have a third player step up to relieve some pressure and free up these two, so CCH could concentrate d on these two....IMHO

 

In two side notes......nice to see Tdyballgame and tdyballgame jr at the game from way across the floor.....however, I'm sorry he felt that he couldn't stand and cheer the colonels because he would disturb the guy directly behind him who read the paper all game.

 

It was also nice seeing paNDA in the bathroom.....but we won't comment on that other than to say that we both washed our hands.
