Ole Miss 94 BYU 90

Man what a game.

If you can catch a replay of the second half watch it...wow!!!

Great comeback by Ole Miss.

I don't understand why more teams in BYU's situation don't go for a two for one. BYU was down 4 with around 1 minute left. They didn't really go for a shot until 37 seconds were left and were fouled. It's not like they just stood around, but they weren't aggressive in going for a quicker score. Basically assured they had to foul.

Ole Miss down 17 I think and come back in 10 minutes to take the lead and then it was a battle the rest of the way over the final 10 minutes!!!

Very entertaining game. Lots of crazy shots hit by both teams.

I left NKY for Atlanta at 4:30 and listened to both games. That was a classic. It was even exciting on the radio.

Thought the same thing. Bad coaching.

Virginia fans watching this and having a heart attack. Who takes shots with 30 seconds on shot clock???

Unbelievably entertaining to watch.

I say this same thing all the time. You see it repeatedly. A team will have the ball tied / down 2 with 50-60 seconds left.

To me you run your best play and score as fast as you can without forcing something. That way you get the ball back with 10-15 seconds and a chance to tie or win.

Seems like nobody does it though.

....

Ole Miss scored 62 points in the 2nd half against what may have been the worst defensive team I've ever personally witnessed.

The winner in Thursday's game may not have 62 points.

I really think BYU holds onto the leads and wins if they slowed it down a little in the last ten minutes of the 2nd half, but they kept running and gunning, sometimes even looking out of control.

Completely disagree. That's why they lost in my opinion they come out of the half and use all the shot clock first 4 or 5 possessions and Ole Miss goes on a 8-2 or so run. By then they try and speed back up but they've cooled off.

Yeah, they shouldn't have started slowing it down at the beginning of the half either. They should have kept playing and started that slow down process with about 8-10 minutes left in the game.

Seemed like poor coaching to me.
