March 6, 201511 yr Can't be completed until Tuesday at 4 PM once Free Agency opens, Marshall also has to pass a physical. Good move by the Jets. Bears traded Marshall to Jets and did not pick up Briggs' option...
March 6, 201511 yr Wonder what Jeffrey's numbers will look like now. They won't be the same, that's for sure.
March 6, 201511 yr Marshall's fourth or fifth team. Denver-Miami-Chicago-NY Huge talent. Thanks, but no thanks.
March 6, 201511 yr According to ESPNChicago, it's for a 5th round pick. Part of me is sad to see him go, but then they really do need to wipe the slate clean, wish we could have gotten something more than a 5th. Saves money moving forward, so I guess that's good.
March 6, 201511 yr Denver-Miami-Chicago-NY Huge talent. Thanks, but no thanks. Pretty well known that the guy suffers from some kind of mental health issue.
March 7, 201511 yr Jets still don't have anyone to throw it to him though. Agree. Will the Jets go after Mariota in the draft now? I heard on PTI this morning that this may all be part of a bigger plan to acquire Nick Foles from the Eagles. This would probably give the Eagles the #6 draft pick and I would assume that would result in Mariota playing for Chip Kelly once again.
March 7, 201511 yr Author So all the Bengals had to do is give a 5th round pick and we would have another awesome receiver? :idunno:
March 9, 201511 yr Interesting point brought up on ESPN Radio the other night asking how many times a star player has been traded in his prime. Hard to come up with a name that's been moved more than Marshall. Again, we're only talking about guys in their prime.
