I think the program has been so low and Crean is sort of a "non-name" that INDIANA catches more eyes than CREAN. Imagine if it were Kentucky. They could say CALIPARI on hot seat and all eyes would catch. Saying CREAN, honestly, there are lots of people who wouldn't recognize his name. And that tells you all you need to know about how far Indiana has slipped in the last 20~ years.

March 4, 201511 yr But Rick Barnes is a household name? HAHAHAHA! "TEXAS COACH ON HOT SEAT" would make me wonder what's going on with Charlir Strong. So no, I wouldn't say Barnes is a household name, but Texas football is and that could be confusing.

So no, I wouldn't say Barnes is a household name, but Texas football is and that could be confusing. Exactly. The IU football program has so low a national profile that there would be no confusing it. Same thing applies for Kentucky. If they flashed "Kentucky coach on hot seat," everybody would be searching out Calipari, not Stoops. And Barnes is definitely more of a household name than Crean is.
