What about head coach, a.d. and principal? Talk about firing yourself!

Male has made a decision after missing out on about 3-4 different coaches. Some programs just aren't what they used to be. It should be announced soon. Jefferson County is a different place that is for sure. Loaded with talent, not so much on coaching.

 

Any names associated with the 3-4 different coaches who Male "missed out on"? Just curious to hear who they had interview.

Lee County has went ahead and hired Joshua Broadwell. He took over during the season last year after Coach Johnson was let go.

That would make a lot more sense. I could not see why he would quit or be fired after one season.

Isaac Wilson, a 2010 Corbin grad, was named the head coach at Middlesboro last week.

If this is even true he is gone, tough break for Shawnee. He was capable of giving them the best shot to make them formidable in the 7th. Maybe something that they are hoping to clear up as he is really good in my opinion with kids. He needs to be in coaching, has the gift.

Heard it on several occasions but not sure why it would be an issue. You no longer have to be a teacher to be a head coach. However, some schools only want coaches who are teachers and can be in the building. Most principals will tell you the two most important teacher/coaches in the building is the head basketball and football coach. They have major influence not only on their players but the student body. Not sure what the agreement was at Shawnee. Its just seems that some schools Shawnee and Moore cant ever have success due to administration. Moore has now had 5 coaches in the past 6 years. Something tells me there is an issue at the top.
