Boyle County 65 Danville 64

Ed Mckinney is an excellent coach. All his teams are usally tough. Look for Danville to be the district favorite next year IMO

I could not be more proud of the Rebels. I've watched them win games a variety of ways this year and one thing they have shown me is that they can and will finish games. Boyle was down 5 points when Hagen Tyler put on his cape and scored 6 straight points to give Boyle the lead at 61-60. Danville then gets a basket to make it 62-61 Ads. Then Hagen hits an improbable bank shot falling down to make it 63-62 BC. Then Cody Woolridge gets fouled and hits two free throws to make it 64-63 Ads. Then Jeremiah Bell hits a layup to make it 65-64 BC. Then the Ads couldn't get a shot off. Game over. All of this happened in the last 1:12 left in the game. It was an amazing game. I could not be more proud of this team.

I've it before and I'll say it again, I'll take Hagen Tyler and Jeremiah Bell against any backcourt in the state. They flat out get it done everytime.

Ed McKinney is a class act. He came onto the radio and gave us an interview after that loss and I can't imagine what he was going through after that game. He's done wonders for Danville and has them going in the right direction. They'll be really tough next year.

That team with a healthy Jakobi Turner is a whole different team. This year will definitely be a 'what if' year for them since they didn't have arguably their best player's services all season long.

Boyle has a tough road to hoe to get to Rupp. They will have to bring a lot more than they did tonight to win the 12th.

Survive and advance is all that matters. I've seen a Coach Adams coached team have their worst game offensively in a district semifinal game and come from behind and have to win in OT. That team made it to the region finals that year. Survive and advance. It doesn't matter how you do it. It just matters if you do it. Just win, Baby!!!!!!!

What a game. Wow. Second best Boyle County/Danville game I have ever seen. Wow. That game was awesome.

In the district semifinals, a win is all that matters. It doesn't matter if it's by 100 or 1. Any win in the postseason is a great win.

On the radio it seemed as if the crowd was very pro-Danville. Was that the case live or was the radio booth just set up where Danville fans were sitting?

Oh definitely. The Lincoln and Garrard fans were pulling for Danville. First, even though Danville played great they still were the underdog and neutral fans always lean that direction. Second, no Lincoln fan would ever cheer for Boyle. :lol2:

It was a great atmosphere in a very full house at Garrard County High School tonight. Glad the fans got their money's worth!

Makes me laugh that Boyle students stormed the court postgame. The favored team storming the court is silly.

Does anyone have any footage from the game, especially the game winner?

Really? It's a high school district tournament game against their cross town rivals. They won on a shot in the last seconds. Why wouldn't they run out to celebrate with the players? This isn't like college where there are 25,000 students on campus and they don't know the players except from the games. These kids know the players very well. It looked like their season was coming to an end and then they won it right at the end. I seriously doubt they were thinking about who the favorite was.

Well, I'll just respectfully disagree and leave it at that.

Seems like we see less and less of the "intense rivalries" than back in the day.

Actually, I think I do.

By storming the court the kids did not go to half court or anything they just went to the freethrow line right in front of their section, they just celebrated a win! I don't believe they were storming the court or the whole court would have been covered with black and gold. The Rebel Rowdies were doing what they have done all year long and that was support their team and they do it really well. If those kids want to storm the court after every game then so be it in my eyes they are a big part of the team.
