Well, I'll just respectfully disagree and leave it at that.

Sour grapes

These are 15-18 year old kids..... Do you expect them to sit on their thumbs? NO

No problem with going on the court. They basically just spilled off their bleacher set.

This is not what I would call a court storm.

Agreed. It was mostly just 50~ Boyle kids going to celebrate with their players ten feet away.

I've often thought Ed McKinney was one of the more underrated coaches in the region. He's definitely been the best basketball coach the Danville boys have had in the last fifteen or so years. I wish he had stuck with it in the early 2000s when he got Danville to the finals of the region in back-to-back years when they came within a few points of going to Rupp.

On the radio it seemed as if the crowd was very pro-Danville. Was that the case live or was the radio booth just set up where Danville fans were sitting?

I agree Ed McKinney is an underrated coach in the region but Danville was going pretty good when Matt Yates coached them. He took them to 3 straight regions, won a district his last year, and three straight All A tournaments with one reaching the final 4. I wish he had stayed, the kids loved him. McKinney does seem to have them back on track.

Yes, always thought Yates did a very good job. McKinney has continued doing well from his first stint. Honestly, Danville has had a pretty strong program over the last 10-15 years, they've just been in a really tough district.

Some stats from the game.

I thought Robbins was very solid last night, and actually, I've always been impressed with his play. Any idea why Coach Adams brings him off the bench?

When Boyle went up 27-17 in the second quarter we were thinking it might be over. Danville responded with a very nice run almost immediately to cut it to 30-25 at halftime. The lead changes/ties stat is a good one and shows just how back and forth the second half of the game was.

Josey has proven to be a capable 6th Man and is arguably the best 6th Man in the region. I can't think of any team in the region that is bringing a player like Josey off of the bench. If it ain't broke......

Figured as much. He brings a spark and can play four positions, which helps if someone gets in foul trouble. He never seems to do anything wrong. And I'd agree he's one of the best sixth men in the region (along with Young at Lincoln).

I feel as if Boyle has more flow with Robbins in the game..... Not a knock on Hinkle, but I feel as if Robbins is more compatible with Bell and Tyler....

I dont disagree, but I do think Josie is essential in the role he is filling. He would be a quality starter as well, but it sure is nice to have a guy who can swing a game coming off the bench.
