Ranked # 10 in state- in his class 2019 I believe?!

Seen the young man play and he is a joy to watch...

 

Where did you find the ranking?

Question will be whether or not they stay in PC or move up the road to NKY.

Age appropriate, meaning he could stay back a year and still be eligible for 5 more years. 14 now, won't be15 until next fall, Octobet I think.

 

So, an older 8th grader, but still of the 8th grade age. Not that it matters all that much (unless he was a 2 year, or more, hold back).Still a really good performance! Congrats to the kid.

6'2"-6'3".... don't know about weight... I'd guess about 175, but a really wild guess....

 

Mother and father both played at Drake .... he is a much different player than the highlight reel in this thread ... much longer than he was then, dunks pretty easy, very long with good handle, good shooter .... routinely puts up 35-40 on AAU circuit ....

Doesn't matter how old the kid is! He is in 8th grade and scored 34 points in a varsity game. How many people on this message board ever scored 34 points in any game??? Why can't we just appreciate good performances!

 

I did drop 31 in an intramural game up on the "hill" back in 83, with no 3pt. line, easily would have topped 40 if there was one. :lol2:

Yeah...why would he wanna stay at PC? I know that if I had D1 potential, I wouldn't wanna play for a coach that had ties at several programs and ACTUALLY PLAYED D1 BASKETBALL.

Pendleton County is going to be tough here in the next couple years.. They have really good young talent that is gaining all kinds of experience. Congrats to Dontaie on the big game. It's gonna be fun to watch/keep up with him throughout his high school career.

Keaton Belcher is one of the best at making meaninful connections at the next level and he will work hard for those kids. Great coach to play for if you have aspirations to play at next level.

Dontaie Allen is not a hold back. He just turned 14...a few months ago. He isn't a older 8th grader...he is the same age as his classmates.

Congrats on an outstanding game. Has had a really good year. Glad to see that he has came back from his wrist injury!

Seem him at the Walton game when they came there but he was still in his cast.

Obviously the guy who asked the question is who cares. This could all be avoided if the Title didn't say "8th grader" and simply said the name. The performance stands on its own.
