Nice win for Boone. I am a little surprised they played this one. Did either of these schools open today? I am not complaining at all. Just wondering if policy has changed about playing games when school is closed.

Neither school was open..yes Boone might be for real..

Campbell County didn't play very well at all. Did not get back on defense and gave up way too many easy baskets. Blake Losey had a career game for the Camels with 29 unofficially. Was not overly impressed with Boone; or the officials.

Boone did the same thing last year I believe. If not last year, it was the year before. Playing games when you have no school (and a two hour delay tomorrow) sets a fine example for parents trying to teach their children right from wrong.

 

In short, I gave up on the Boone County school system doing much right past the basics.

I truly believe Boone Co. could make some serious noise in the 9th Region tourney. Very fundamentally sound ball club that's on the rise. I think they could sneak up on some on the top-dogs in the postseason.

Kids needed to get out of the house I'm sure just like the parents. I'm glad there were games.

It was Boone Senior Night and I know that was a motivation to get this game in.

The officials are a weak spot on most nights in the 9th. I have watched Boone play a few times and I think they are very impressive. They are experienced, strong, and get to the basket against anyone. I am sure that many of the teams that have played Boone lately have said the same things about not getting back and too many easy buckets. That is because Boone has the guard play that consistently beats you down the court and goes strong to the basket. When they have to slow it down they have a player inside that knows how to play the post and is huge. They are legit.

Decisions on why kids should not be on the road at 7am are completely different than decisions on why kids can be participating in extracurricular activities at 7pm.

 

The inverse is often true as well .. school in session, but prudent minds cancel evening extracurricular activities when a late afternoon storm renders roads unsafe. Common sense prevails.

Boone is tough to beat at home. They are 11-3 with wins over Cooper, Holmes, and now Campbell on their home court. Only losses are to Covcath, Mason Co, and Newport in a game that Stockwell didn't play.

Where are the district games being played?

 

This is certainly a very important year to win your district. There is a bigger than usual difference this year in regional game 1 between being a district winner versus a district loser.

Boone was off Thursday, game Thursday night, school cancelled for Friday with no additional bad weather. I agree with Guru on this one.
