February 9, 201511 yr Someone please tell Madge that no one wants to see her 56 year old behind sticking out. As the Great one said, act your age; not your shoe size. I thought that she looked really good and is holding up well age wise, but something about the performance was overblown like she was trying too hard, and then for me it just ultimately looked ridiculous.
February 9, 201511 yr So you think Kanye's antics at the Grammy's are racially motivated? Down deep in his ignorant soul...yes.
February 9, 201511 yr Down deep in his ignorant soul...yes. I've never heard that perspective on it before. Interesting. I always assumed Kanye West is the most self absorbed star we have seen in a long long time. Someone who takes himself and his persona way too serious. Someone who believes his own thoughts and words are superior to everyone else's. Someone who truly believes he is God's greatest creation and gets genuinely upset when others don't see him the way he sees himself. I also think he is hilariously funny. Intentional or not. I think he is very intelligent and very talented musically. I've always been a Kanye fan and always will be. I do not think he is racist nor do I think he is stupid enough to be racist. He knows who butters his bread. It ain't black people.
February 9, 201511 yr He's a black first kind of guy. Like Chuck D? Like Mos Def or whatever his name is now? Like Dave Chappelle? Kevin Hart? Denzel Washington? Morgan Freeman? I don't even know what that means.
February 9, 201511 yr What does that mean? He either thinks that Kanye puts black people first or he eats black jelly beans first; I'm not sure.
February 9, 201511 yr He knows who butters his bread. It ain't black people. I picture Kanye calling out to his white butler, "Livingston, come butter this bread!"
February 9, 201511 yr Who Is Beck? (The Guy Who Beat Beyonce For Album of the year at the 2015 Grammys) | Billboard FWIW, I love that Beck won. Love his music, and "Loser" is among my all-time favorite tunes. But..maybe from reading the link, you'll get why I relate to him.
February 9, 201511 yr I picture Kanye calling out to his white butler, "Livingston, come butter this bread!" :lol2::lol2: My dad's name is Livingston. :lol2:
February 9, 201511 yr Too many of you have asked me to explain for me to tie together all your quotes, so I'll assume you all know who you are and this post will suffice without it being technically a reply to any specific previous post, but to all of them. Forgive me for giving you too much credit for understanding what I mean. We are talking about the same guy who so tactlessly ranted while he and Mike Myers were on TV during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina giving a plea for support while Kanye went off in classless pedestrian form claiming that George Bush doesn't care about black people, and turning it into a racial issue while Mike Myers stood there embarrassed trying to salvage their statements with a sense of calm, compassion and rationality all the while showing obvious uneasiness to the jackwad that Kanye was being... Right? Same guy...Right??? There was a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE about how the two of them handled the situation, and one of them showed a tremendous classless ignorant racist approach. Do I really need to post the video to help you see who that was? I've never been a big supporter of Bush, and too was not thrilled by the government's slow response to help those in need, but even in this case found it to be so out of line and classless to use this time to cut him down with his overly black slanted take on the matter. Black folks were not the only people impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Kanye being married to a white woman does nothing to convince me that his knee jerk black centric agenda isn't first and foremost with him. Don't mistake my words as saying there's anything wrong with being black as I'm all for a peaceful world where people are judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. This holds true for people of any color, and just as much as there are ignorant white people who lack understanding of this, there too are black people who have sorely missed the meaning of this as well. Is he for humanity as a whole, or does he take a black first stance? Nothing about him has convinced me that he has an intelligent bone in his body that comes near understanding this, and his stupid behavior has only shown convincingly where his instincts are firmly rooted. I have a hard time seeing how anyone with any sense, white or black can't see that he is racist. I can say with complete honesty that while I'm a white guy, I in no way shape or form am a "white first" kinda guy, and it's quite obvious to me when someone is, just as it's quite obvious to me when someone is a "black first" kinda guy. As you all know I'm gay, but with that said I'm not a "gay first" kinda guy as some gays can be who do nothing positive for their own cause by being so. I'm just "a guy" with a variety of things that can define me. He can pretend all he wants, and even by marrying a white woman, that he's an open minded dude, but he's not fooling me one bit. He's an ignorant racist and I can confidently say that without any hesitancy. No way in hell anyone can convince me otherwise. I fully understand the black cause for equality and respect, but remember... it goes both ways, and not only white people can be racist.
February 9, 201511 yr :lol2::lol2: My dad's name is Livingston. :lol2: What's the odds of me coming up with that random name?
February 9, 201511 yr I think you are confusing Kanye's love of himself for hatred of white people. Kanye's problem is he just can't get out of his own way but he's trying. Tho I loathe KK, she is doing remarkable work in calming him down and teaching him to love and trust someone else; something he hasn't had since his mom died. I thought it was funny that he started up towards the stage but backed off. His mistake was opening his mouth afterwards and insulting the person who won the award and should have had his moment of recognition; even if I don't like Beck and have no idea how he won the award. I don't think that had one thing to do with Beck being white though. It has more to do with his creepy love for Beyonce', IMO. Seriously, doesn't anyone else see that?! This is twice now.
