NewCath at Brossart Predictions

Featured Replies

I'd love to go to this game but don't want to get there by 4:00. Maybe this game should be played at neutral court like BB vs CC game.

I really don't think this game will be the sell out we've seen in prior years.

NewCath by 10 or less. Mustangs will be up for this one.

Not sure who's under a gag order. I've certainly been permitted to put my foot in my mouth often enough this week.

NCC is really, really good. We are rebuilding and getting better every time out. Can we compete with the Breds? Unlikely. Will we give it our best effort??? - Sure Will

As we told them at the "A" State, If they beat us it will only because we are looking past them to the Augusta game on Friday night. ;)

Actually, the JV game could be very interesting. Brossart is 11-1 with a lone conference loss to Holmes. NCC has one conference loss, to Highlands, who the Mustangs have defeated. NCC is yet to play Holmes.

I do not think it is Brossart under the gag order from earlier posts in the basketball thread.. :sssh: I think Lawnboy is violating some posters first amendment rights......

LB,,,,You need to read quote again,,I'm reading it as they have beat every NKY team by an average of 38.4 points per game

LB is following along with other posts I have made concerning the dominance of N Ky competition. In those posts I have specifically removed CovCath from the calculation and/or been more specific to "in games they have won".

Being late to the party I can understand where you would miss the intent of my post.

Well thank goodness it's not LB or we wouldn't even know NCC is still playing ball this season.

I was under the impression that Mustang's account was hacked late last week. This week seems to be back to normal.

I believe Brossart has been working on upgrades to the school, just wondering if there is room to build out for extra seating?

No extra seating was added to the gym, though there were some improvements including Airconditioning and a new concession stand. And for fans of the 10th region--- a new popcorn machine!

For those showing up early tonight, Brossart is having Skyline Chili night. $1.75 cheese coneys!!

I would take this bet, NCC names their score tonight.

A-OK,,I'll try to be on time to the party....LOL

LB13 gets the "friendly price" - Two for $3.50!!!

Don't know what it is, but I kind of agree that it could be close if the Mustangs had a big guy presence inside but unfortunately hey don't.

I don't believe they have anyone that can match up with the strength of McDonald and the quickness of Weyer.

Well you know the Mustangs will try to slow it down and grind and NCC will try to run up and down the floor. The tempo will dictate how close the game is. If played in the 40's Brossart will keep it close. If the Breds get the tempo they want and aproach 70 points, it could get ugly.

Here's a little piece of history concerning NCC's experiences while playing the Mustangs in Alexandria:

The Breds came in as heavy favorites back in 2011, but were upset by the Mustangs here in the SyDome which hasn't been the most friendly of places for the Breds. We have beaten them here in four of our last seven meetings with two of the losses being by two points and five points. In 2013 the Breds won by 15.

But as they say, Past performance is not indication of future results.

As to your last sentence, that is not what they told me at Turfway Park last week.
