You sure? I seem to recall hearing about him being there for about a month and that it was his first taste of coaching before he ever went anywhere. Seems like I remember talk of him being on Coach Harp's staff for a brief time.

I have your answer...He defiantly did not coach at Danville. He coached his son in the little league system which was in the Danville Youth System. He did not apply for the Mercer job, has a very good situation and has no intention on leaving ohio to come back to Kentucky. Blame me for raising the question but I think we are beating a dead horse here. Just wanted to know what was going on and why he wasn't a person of interest considering he was from Harrodsburg. Regardless, he was a great player and by all accounts a very good football coach!

Not one person has said he wasn't a great player or coach. By all accounts he is a great coach. He just moves around a lot and Mercer County doesn't need another coach who will be gone in two years. That's why he isn't a person of interest.

I still think that it will be David Buchanon, at least that is what my gut is telling me (then again that could be gas). One thing that might not get him here maybe the amount of control they will let him have. Just think that he would be a got fit at Mercer.

Every time the Mercer County job has come open he's always at the top of everyone's list here around town. He has yet to come to Mercer County and he's still currently at Mason County. I'd love to see him at Mercer County and I've always felt he is what Mercer County needs. As I said he's still at Mason County so it's all rumors and speculation like it always is.

Didn't he say in a prior thread his son was attending Centre in the fall? I'd say Mercer also has a little more attainable district/Region.

This is crazy!!! Have that not gotten a coach yet? Didn't someone say that their spring ball is the first of May?

The coach will be in place soon and all of Mercer County can rejoice!
