Buying or selling on Gonzaga being a real threat to Kentucky

Featured Replies

Just saw Seth Greenburg on ESPN listing the reasons why he thought that Gonzaga is a real threat to Kentucky this year.

Are you buying or selling?

Cant sell it...................Cant give it away..................Flush it.

No way . I def think we can be had with a bad shooting night , but not by the zags .

Selling. They have to say some teams are, but Gonzaga is NOT one, IMO.

UK is a horrible match-up for the Gonzaga team I've seen. At least when it's a team like Notre Dame, Gonzaga will have some size on them. They won't have a size advantage over Kentucky and aren't athletic enough to guard them, even in a zone.

The only guy from Gonzaga would might start or play quite a few minutes for UK would be Kevin Pangos. You can probably say that Sabonis would eventually, but he's not there yet. There was much more of a need for Wiltjer last year than there is this season. Lyles offers plenty of shooting that defenses have to respect as a big, with Booker and Harrison being more than enough outside shooting when you factor in it being a bad idea to dare Ulis to shoot too.

Selling. They are not as good as the Gonzaga teams of 7 or 8 years ago. The league they play in is bad too meaning they have no competition until NCAA time.

I agree the Zags would have a nightmare match up in the Cats they are too slow to run with UK have and no answer inside sell sell sell!

I'm selling anyone besides Virginia, Duke, or Wisconsin.

I'm selling because they can't guard.

This is far and away the best overall team Gonzaga has ever put on the court though IMO.

Sell....Had to chuckle when the fans from Gonzaga were holding up "We want Kentucky" signs. Do they not realize that their best player left UK to avoid the bench?

This may come back to bite me hard later, so hopefully if it does, everyone forgets about this posts, but I'll gladly take a matchup with Gonzaga in the Final Four.

Wiltjer isn't their best player.

Wiltjer isn't their best player.

:thumb: I'll take either Pangos or Bell over Wiltjer.

....

Buying them as a really good team who could advance to the Final 4...selling them as a thread to UK. It is going to take a team of Men to beat UK, Gonzaga isn't that team. That said, I think they can beat EVERY other team in America on a given night, but could lose to about 20 of them as well.

Its seems like Gonzaga is always a bit overrated. I haven't watched them play much this year but they seem soft. Again I may be wrong but I don't think they could handle Kentucky's length and strength.
