Gonzaga would be somewhere between the 2nd - 5th best team in the ACC, Big 10, SEC, Big12 or PAC.

 

They would not be the number 1 in any of them. They are not the 2nd best team in the country.

The team I'm buying as the biggest threat to UK is....UK.

If Columbia, Texas A&M, Vandy, and Ole Miss can play with or threaten Kentucky, Gonzaga is good enough to beat them.

This UK team has shown it can struggle to beat teams like GA and TEX A&M. So, yes, you bet the Zags are a threat if KY stinks it up , which they are more than capable of doing on one night. So you are saying Gonzaga is no threat to beat UK? Hell, were it not a for a couple of baskets going the other way last night late in the game against Georgia , the Bulldogs would have done it. The Cats can be beaten by the Zags in a one game ,loser go home... A best of five, no.

Gonzaga has burned me too many times over the years. I've been on the bandwagon several times and that wagon rolls over a cliff in the tournament. I'm never picking them again beyond winning 1 game MAYBE in the NCAA.

Overrated maybe but they are more than capable of hanging with UK.

10-1 odds at best of winning it.

Gonzaga is a really good team but I think they are overrated at No. 2 and I think Kentucky beats them by double digits if they play. They've only played one top 20 team and that was a loss at Arizona.

They also struggled with a terrible UCLA team.. Gonzaga is a hard team to figure out, because they don't play anyone. I'll say this, even if they are a top team, their weak schedule will likely come back and bite them in the rear once they get hit in the mouth by a legit team that's been battle tested.
