Great responses to the OP . JD pretty much nailed it . I'm a self described foodie and can vouch for Rocco's in ceredo kenova . Outstanding consistent Italian food . The mushroom app is outstanding . Been dining there for over 25 years . Never a bad meal , the house lasagna is hard to beat as well . Sea scallops marina . The nightly specials . Can't go wrong .

But I'd like to ask about suplex taco's -- where is it ? To me the choices for mexican and Chinese are absolutely abymisal in the Ashland portsmouth area . Down here in Ptown toro loco is awful in my book , not bad food but nothing too close to authentic . And the Chinese is rough . Nothing above the standard buffet . Anyway where is Suplex ?

And a resounding YES to Jewel City Seafood , hate letting that secret out . The barge fish sandwich is great .

If you like Mexican, "Black Sheep", next to the Marshall campus is an interesting place with good food.

Have you tried Tres Hermanos out on US 60? It's outstanding. And Suplex is inside the Shell station on 13th street right before Rose Hill Cemetery.

I love Italian food and seafood. Looks like I need to try Jewel City and Rocco's the next time I'm in that area, which isn't very often. We usually head towards Charleston instead of Huntington.

As LRCW mentioned, its in the shell station between Rose Hill and Blazer on 13th. Don't go there expecting a traditional Mexican full menu though. Due to its location and size, the options are obviously limited. Everything I have tried there has been great, even their homemade hot sauce. I always get a side of it to go to have on hand at home.

As far as Chinese goes, we don't have many good options. But I don't know of anyone that doesnt like China Wok lol.

And a resounding YES to Jewel City Seafood ' date=' hate letting that secret out . The barge fish sandwich is great .[/quote']

Jewel City is probably my favorite restaurant in the tri-state area. It's small and doesn't look like much, but you won't find fresher seafood anywhere near here. Not to mention everything they serve is available to take home and prepare yourself. If your visiting from out of town it may be worth bringing a cooler.

I'll let another secret out about the place, all you can eat crab legs. I wouldn't recommend going that night though, as their has been gunplay involved with customers fighting over a table lol. I guess you could say its to die for, that is, if your willing to die over some fresh king crabs.

They are both great restaurants. Rocco's has been a long time favorite of mine. But my favorite food is seafood, so its hard to pass on Jewel City, living in an area where good seafood is almost non existent.

By the way, you've been going to the wrong city! Huntington>Charleston, lol.

Semi live report from Suplex -- friggin outstanding ! And the extra hot sauce is killer . Very cheap as well . Glad you pointed me in the right direction for this hole in the wall place .

The drive from Belfry to Huntington is what sucks.

I'll be dining with Bert and spindoc.

And while I don't get it several BGPers like wrestling -- this joint is decorated with Mexican wrestling stuff .
