Jims is pretty good, Fat pattys is too, but your right, neither are special, they are just good at what they specialise in. You may not like seafood, but Jewel City is in between the two you mentioned. If you do like seafood, I would recommend it. It's the best seafood I've had within several hundred miles of here.

And a resounding YES to Jewel City Seafood , hate letting that secret out . The barge fish sandwich is great .

Hey JD - heard anything about a new Italian place in a home in Huntington ? Small mom and pop place ?

Haven't heard anything, but I havent been in Huntington in a couple of weeks. I like the sound of it though, some of the best restaurants I've ever been to were in homes that had been converted into restaurants. If its authentic I'm sure its great. If you can give me the name of it ill try it out asap.

I'll check it out. I looked it up online, not much of a website but it looks interesting. Looks like they have a nice deli too.

Went to Roccos last night. Fantastic as always . House lasanga is to rave about .

Schooners in Huntington is sinking :(

Jd - best place on Ashland to watch the cats ?

Chimney corner :-)

I'm bias though, my wife works there lol. I generally watch games at home, so I really have no clue. I have been to b dubs in ironton a few times for games and there is always a strong uk contingent there and its a good atmosphere. Ashland doesn't have any true sports bars anymore, so I guess it depends on what your looking for. I've never been to Fat Pattys during a game, but several friends go frequently.

Glad you enjoy suplex, its a hidden gem.

Had a burrito there last night. Truly an unknown to most.

Suplex is outstanding.

If they added a few more menu items and had a better location, the place would do tons of business in Ashland.

It is. Great food in a small place, with a small menu. But what they do offer is superb, the people that run it are great too. They put the local big name Mexican places to shame. At times I wish they had a bigger menu, but they dont have the facilities for that. Gotta give them credit for sticking with what works.
