Huntington is full of good local restaurants. Savannah's for fine Dining. Jewel City Seafood if you want fresh seafood (its flown in unfrozen.) The cookout, if you want BBQ. There are many more, but those are what I'm familiar with.

In Ashland the options are a bit limited outside of chains. But you have The Chimney Corner for casual dining (my wife is a chef there,) Fat Patty's is a pretty good burger joint, which is also available in Huntington. Shogun steakhouse if you want Japanese. China Wok if you want Chinese. Suplex tacos is great, don't let the gas station location fool you lol.

I forgot about Roccos in Kenova... Great Italian food.

Rocco's is Kenova is awesome. Best Italian restaraunts around. Pricey for this area though.

Shogun in Huntingon is much better than in Ashland IMO.

Fat Pattys in either location is awesome.

I've heard good things about Savannah's.

Jewel City seafood in Huntington is great as well. Not as elegant as Savannah's or Rocco's but great, fresh seafood. They have exotic stuff in there too. You can get Gator.

Backyard Pizza is great but it's been closed down since one of the brick ovens caught the place on fire.

Huntington has a lot more variety than Ashland.

Is this place run by a Lucha Libre? (Google it)

Which place? There are about ten you quoted.

Agreed.. There are some in Huntington that I didn't mention, because I haven't been there. But I've heard there are a couple of good restaurants on top of the Frederick and one one of the other larger buildings in Huntington. Don't remember the name of that one though.

Jewel City is my favorite though. If you like seafood, you should check it out. It's outstanding. I forgot about Rocco's before, but if you like authentic italian, its pretty close.

I've always wanted to visit Jim's Steak and Spaghetti downtown. They have been around a LONG time, have hosted presidents and celebrities, and looks like a family diner. That big green awning out front is iconic and this place was the inspiration for the restaurant in "We Are Marshall".

How is the food?

Jim's is excellent, like going back in time. If you go get the coleslaw-awesome.

Hillbilly Hotdogs...right at the East End of town on 3rd Ave.

I'd agree with this one.

Sorry lol.. Those bolded quotes never show up on my phone using the forum runner app. It just shows up as a normal quote.

Was worried my Lucha Libre joke fell flat.

Extremely good place too. Love that place.
