The goal posts were six inches too narrow on each side. Apparently this was discovered sometime during the process of replacing the turf. Goalposts were taken down to the surprise of the coaching staff and players.

Probably the kicker who had a few bounce off the posts last year.

 

All I know is that the 49 yarder against LexCath would have snug in inside the right upright in the state semis.

Spending the evening here at Highlands . Wow the facilities and school is nice !! It has been several years since I had been over this side of town !! The field is starting to come along !!

I stopped by the other day to check the field out and talked to the crew installing it.

 

They said Highlands paid a premium for the "high speed turf"...

 

Should fit their style to say the least...in my best Dales voice "that is awesome...are you telling me our guys will be faster than before?" Obviously Coach W is pleased with the decision the "Fast Turf" :thumb:

What does that mean? How is it different than "regular" turf?
