I know some about the returning starters. I would like to know about the newcomers. Those who have made significant progress, whether it be in size or skill. Plus, are there any players who are new to the school?

There is no one new that I am aware of at this time. As for newcomers, I would say that some names you may hear are Crosley New, Nick Venemann, Braden Posey, Carl Schoellman and Michael Dunn just to name a few. Obviously some juniors will have to step it up a notch this year and some may need to change positions if they want to get on the field. My understanding is that there are a few seniors that have not played for a few years that are planning on coming back this year.

 

The team returns 3 OL, 3 WR's, RB, 2 DL, 2 ILB, 1 DB and the entire kicking game returns.

Your right! I will speak with some of the members and try and make it to the next meeting. Unfortunately, travel with JOB puts me out of town most of the week.

Thanks for the "kick in the butt" inspiration to do something about it. Not sure if I can, but I will give it my best effort.

As an outsider, I don't know the inner workings of the program like others who have been involved, but are these decisions set in stone already? Even without Spring Football this year?

Where you were as a Frosh and where you go as a Soph do not mean you will be there when your time comes as a Junior or Senior. Not sure anything could be set in stone because you have not put pads on and there will certainly be injuries along the way that may impact how things roll down the road.

Highlands does what Highlands does, and they win by doing it. Until I witness the wheels fall off of the Highlands football factory, I'm not going to call anything they do "a mess".
