You very well may be right. But at the end of the day(year), I fully expect Highlands to have played through yet another tough schedule on their way to another State Championship. You? And I'm being serious when I ask.

The first team that comes to mind for 4 less wins is Dixie. They have some serious talent graduating; will be breaking in a new QB. I will have to see their schedule. Although, they are dropping down to 5A aren't they? That could help. Still, because of the deep playoff run they won 13 so will they win 10 in 2015?

 

Four more wins ... the safest guesses are Holmes (2 wins in 2014) and maybe Holy Cross (1 win in 2014).

 

10 wins would be a great season for the Dixie Heights Colonels considering this years graduating class!

So being #1 in NKY means nothing to the kids who play for Highlands? You are defiantly not close to the Highlands football program. I think it means a lot to them.

Simon Kenton has been around for 78 years and has played football for 50 of those years, yet has never won a state championship in football.

It took SK 43 years to win only their 2nd playoff game in school history.

There are a lot of NKY teams that have been around a lot shorter time period than SK yet have a much better football resume than SK.

 

I think it may be time for you to worry about your own team and seeing if they will ever get that ever so elusive State Title instead of trying to bring all the other NKY teams down to SK's level.

Some things you forgot. The second time they won in the playoffs they made it to the state finals. Since 2000 SK has won more games than any other NKY 6A team. I also believe Coach Marksberry has won more games than any coach that coaches in NKY.

Marksberry is a great coach !! I will give ya that for sure !! Sk is very fortunate to have him . If my son wouldn't be playing where he is Sk would of been our next choice . He is great for the kids , and program . True class act !!

Did any of those teams wins a state title in 6A? I didn't think so! Put SK in 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A and they will be playing for a state title every year in December!
