I'm sure it does mean something but not as much as you might think. The last time they were not voted number 1 in NKY they quickly forgot as they concentrated on winning another SC as that is what they talk about and work for every year.

You're right. HHS football players have every game marked. I imagine the SK players already have their countdown clock going. I also expect Independence is closing down the city as it will be the biggest day in city history. At least until game time.

Oh you may want to check with your peeps on that one. I am very close to the kids in the program. They could care less about where they rank in NKY. They just want the hardware the first week of December. We are running out of places to put all of the rings in our house, how about the 'Neer kids. All that is right, they got a regional championship t-shirt a few years back. There is not date circled on the schedule at Highlands my friend. They take them one at a time because 16 weeks makes for a long season, but then again you and your boys in Independence would know absolutely nothing about that. I will ask you again, is football still the fourth "F" in Independence?
