January 9, 201511 yr I'm not sold Seattle beats Carolina. Carolina is arguably the hottest team playing this week. Their defense has been stellar these last few weeks and when they played Seattle earlier this season in Carolina the Seahawks won that game in a come from behind victory by the score of 13-9. And Carolina was crap at that time. I'm not saying that Carolina is going to win but I don't feel like it is a foregone conclusion that Seattle advances. I give Carolina about a .0001 chance of winning, and about a 1 percent chance of keeping the margin under two touchdowns. The Panthers beat a slew of terrible teams just to get to the playoffs, then got the absolute best possible draw in Arizona and still struggled to put them away, despite the Cardinals producing one of the worst offensive outputs in history. Methinks you're drinking too much Cam-Ade.
January 9, 201511 yr Did you consider Arizona one of the worst teams in the NFL all year? Or just saying they are now since they had a 3rd string QB playing? They were damned good for the first 11 weeks of the season. I would argue that they were one of the worst teams in the NFL the remainder of the season. Great D and S/T can only cover up so many offensive warts.
January 9, 201511 yr Some times teams do get on a roll and breaks suddenly go there way. It started in the regular season with Philly just simply collapsing down the stretch and handing them the East, they got a couple of good breaks at critical moments in the Detroit game, and now the Rodgers injury. They still have just won a single playoff game so I would not get too excited yet. If they get off to a good start on Sunday, then maybe so....
January 9, 201511 yr Also of odd occurrences, Jethro Pugh passed away at age 70 this past week. Who was he? He was the guy that was famously double team blocked by the Green Bay Packers on the Bart Starr QB sneak in the 1967 NFC Championship Game (Ice Bowl). That was the last time Dallas has visited Green Bay in the playoffs.

No of course not, don't be ridiculous. They were one of the best with Carson. They are one of the worst now with a 4th string QB (actually it was a 4th string qb not 3rd string because he wasn't even the 3rd qb on their roster most of the year, they had to go out and get him) who was on a practice squad most of the year. They only had 77 yards total offense last week in the playoff game, the lowest in NFL playoff history. They were clearly one of the absolute worst teams in the NFL by the time the playoffs started. I'd put them in the bottom 5 right now.

You're the first person to mention Cam. :lol2: I'm talking about the whole team but lets look at the stats and facts now since you brought up the slew of terrible teams that Carolina beat. I spoke on their defense playing great football right now. Statistically they are the #2 defense in the NFL since the month of December began right behind Seattle. Now, in December Seattle played: Philadelphia-#5 offense San Francisco-#20 offense Arizona-#24 offense(using backup QBs as well) St. Louis-#28 offense(also using backup QBs) Carolina played: New Orleans-#1 offense Tampa Bay-#30 offense Cleveland-#23 offense(knocked Manziel out of the game and Hoyer came in) Atlanta-#8 offense Looking at those stats one could arguably say that Carolina had a tougher task than Seattle did. Sure we can look at each team's W/L record and say this team sucks and that team is awesome but you should know as well as I do that the playoffs are all about the hot teams and we've seen crappy regular season teams squeak into the playoffs on a hot streak and do damage. Again, I'm not saying Carolina will win but I'm not convinced this is going to be a cake walk for Seattle either.

I definitely can buy what you are saying, because they were horrible with that QB who had to take over.

They got outscored 24-6 after the first quarter. They lost the game. Move on.
January 11, 201511 yr I'm still going with the Packers today. Just don't see the Cowboys pulling this one out. Will be the first road loss this season.
January 11, 201511 yr Our chances should have been much better to reach the Superbowl. The NFL needs to change the 3 way tie breaker procedures. We should've been the number one seed by simple logic. We beat the Seahawks and the Seahawks beat the Packers.
