I don't think Dixie was sub -6A last 2 years nor was SK

 

2 times they made it to at least the State Semi Final game inthe past 3 years, Don't really think their so called "Soft Schedule" as you would put it, has hurt them much now has it?

No, they were the step down in scheduling for SK and Dixie.

Kentucky teams are not coming out of the woodwork to take on Trinity. Northern KY schools continue to stay off the grid. Kudos to Lafayette for stepping up. Same to Male (the fact they have won 2 of the last 4 and last season's freshmen game) and PRP (gate $$$ plus developing relationship in other sports) for adding Trinity to their schedules. We'll have to wait and see who steps up to scrimmage the Rocks.

 

Are there any NKY teams that would be competitive? I know Highlands nas scrimmaged T and while it is a scrimmage, the results have been as far as I can tell extremely one-sided.

The thing that a lot of people don't know about the Highlands/Trinity scrimmage the last few years is that they only play 3 Quarters and then they get the backups & young guys out there for an hour or so to get a look at them. Last season they had 2 sets of offense vs defense going against each other on both sides of the field for maximum reps and of course they film the entire thing to go over later. So the short answer to your question is Yes, both teams get a lot out of this, the score does not really matter, sad to see this thing not get renewed.

The score always matters. The score may not have much meaning or muscle behind it but all season long people will say and know that Trinity beat Highlands xx-xx in a 3 quarter scrimmage. I'm certain we have update threads and prediction threads that indicate that the score matters.

I think that would be a great game year in and year out. I think the travel is what hurts. I know T is used to playing a lot of long distant games, but still 2 hour drives on Friday nights to get to a game aren't real fun.

This was tackled (pun intended) in another thread. New T A.D. seems to be mending a lot of fences. I for one will keep my fingers crossed.
