January 6, 201511 yr Shaun King says he is. Former NFL QB Shaun King says Jameis Winston is returning to FSU | Fan Buzz Jameis says he will not announce his decision until after the National Chanpionship game. Players have until January 15th to declare.
January 6, 201511 yr Author If true, he's dumber than I thought, and I didn't think that was possible. If he stays I hope we can hear why he is choosing to stay. If I was close to him I'd advise him to leave and get that money. It may not be there in 2016. As an FSU fan I wouldn't be mad but I'd want to know why he is coming back. I think we can all agree that he has some growing up to do. I'll still be shocked if he comes back. It just doesn't make sense. Especially if he is still in the running to be a top 3 pick after all of his baggage.

He could look worse (IMO he looked better last year than he did this year), and hurt his stock. He could get into even more off-field trouble, which could lead quite a few teams to say "screw it" and stay away. Just can't see anything to gain by him returning.

That's why I would really really really want to know why he would choose to return. I'd be dazed and confused and elated all at the same time. Why, Jameis, Why?!?!?!? It's cool though. :thumb: :lol2:
January 6, 201511 yr Maybe he wants to come back because he enjoys CFB. Maybe he knows he needs to improve on sometings? I personally think it is great when kids stay 4 years and play. I also understand why they leave early.

January 6, 201511 yr Wow, probable number two and possible number one pick? I couldn't do it, and I REALLY liked college.
January 6, 201511 yr Peyton Manning came back. He said, because he enjoyed being in college and had his whole life to work. Maybe Winston realizes he's not mature enough yet.

He wouldn't be the first and he won't be the last to come back when there's a pay day on the horizon. Pick a sport, and you'll find multiple guys that returned. Most recently, a guy like Andrew Luck jumps to mind, and of course everyone remembers Peyton Manning doing it. Now, the off-field stuff? Yeah, that's a complicating factor those other guys usually don't have.
January 6, 201511 yr Not to mention FSU will have NINE quarterbacks on the roster next year if he returns. They are bringing three Top 10 QBs in the 2015 class.
January 6, 201511 yr I bet playing baseball has a lot to do with this. Maybe he wants to focus on one last baseball season and will focus on the NFL next off season.
