Is he going to school at Ashland right now?

...and?

Nothing, I was just saying that he does work in KY so that may add a little more probability to these rumors....

No, if he was going to school anywhere other than HHS you would have heard about it.

I dont believe this would happen, because Mr Ashland Athletic Director and Ashland's personel does not believe in transfers, that is just wrong....:ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

On a serious note though, I could see Patterson transferring somewhere, because I know he has been VERY unhappy with the coaching personel at HHS. So these statements by GIAT is probably true, and has some worth to it. And if you were going to transfer to a area KY team with the best talent returning right now, it would probably be Ashland.

You are right. There have been a few very nice players who tried to come to Ashland or come "back" to Ashland and were turned away.

Ashland sure didn't turn away Morgan County's best player in 1987 Jason Williams!:D I remember Jason scoring 39 points vs. Henry Clay and Sean Sutton in the Ashland Invitational that year. Many in Morgan CO. thought, the Cougars would have made their 1st trip to Rupp in 1987 with Williams running the show. But Williams transferred from Morgan Co. to Ashland before his senior season.

I remember the work ethic and fierce competitive nature of Williams...as a youngster he would not allow people to leave the park until he was finished with them! :D He made people better.

Williams later went to Brevard College and UNC-Greensboro(?) and played. He is now a big wig for Adams Golf and goes to all the PGA tour events the week of the event as an Adams rep....lives in Dallas now and has a great career.

If I remember correctly, Thomas left Ashland for Rose Hill and then returned when the bottom fell out at Rose Hill. I don't know of too many, if any, really talented players Ashland has " turned " away. Ashland has had many players from different places, just like everyone else. They are no different, no better than anyone.

Rumor, rumors, rumors! Are we talkin rumors or facts. I can name quite a few who they have not turned away. I personally have no problem with it, parents want what's best for their child and if they think that means a transfer then that's fine with me. Ashland is not too good to take them, they've done it for years and will continue to do it.

Let's get back to the topic.

My thoughts precisely.

I know of pretty good players that Ashland told not to come, but I dont know of any Ashland player that wanted to come back that was turned away, so I can verify you have some "partial truth", which is about "par for the course":thumb:

If your implying what I think your implying then that was a very arrogant and/or dumb decision.
