I'm positive that I'm unsure how much of your statement was valid (or invalid), but you've done an excellent job of avoiding not overstating the negative.

On a side (and somber) note, I thought I read that Mrs. Curnutte passed away the other day. Is that true?

If so, I have to say that I thought she was one of the absolute top English teachers that I ever had. I'm sure that others might not agree with me, but she certainly had a huge, positive impact on my time in school.

I'm certain that was my intent almost exactly... I think... :creepy:

Wow... I hope not. That would be truly sad. She was a fantastic teacher. She endured me through both jr. high and high school, although it would not be fair to blame my grammatical gaffes on her.

Her son Steve was a great Tomcat quarterback and a scholarship player at Vanderbilt. :thumb:

Yes she did. A favorite person of mine :thumb:

I was told she passed away peacefully in Lexington where she lived close to her daughter.

re; below > That goes for all of us.

Though I can't vouch for what kinda shape you were in.....

At the risk of highjacking the thread, and making someone mad, I have to say that this world is a little emptier without her in it.

She truly was an excellent teacher. I remember very vividly when we dissected the Beatles' song "Eleanor Rigsby" in her class. Until that day, I thought I understood the written word. Without question, she left me in much better shape than she found me....

And what if monkeys fly out of my backside...a whole lot of ifs in that statement...

Yeah your right, alot of what ifs.TO YOU,not to me.

Beatles' song "Eleanor Rigsby" in her class..

"All the lonely people, where do they come from?"

Were the Beatles referring to the fans of the 16th region???

And what if monkeys fly out of my backside...

Man!

That'd be one heck of a halftime show...

...especially if you could teach 'em to dunk...

All you Boyd guys keep bashing Russell's state game. Wow, did your season really sting that bad that you have to vent your anger on other programs.

I have not bashed Russell all year, and quite honestly liked Russell's chances earlier in the season. But I feel they were not the best team in the 16th and that showed at Rupp. And yes you are right, they deserved to be there and earned their spot there.:thumb: But your comment about all of us Boyd fans bashing Russell, they mostly started by having to be protective of a young man called Owens, night after night, while you guys drag his name thru the dirt. And dont say it didnt happen, because remember we can look at past posts on here. :thumb: At least we commented on your team and didnt single out a person like most of you do.

Bottom line is congratulations to Russell on their season, and good luck next year.:ylsuper:

And just a little secret, Boyd will not be a pushover next year.:thumb:

You don't think Russell will be as good as any of those 3?

IMO Russell is not as good as the top three I selected. But like all high school games....its hit and miss....IMO If a healthy Fairview team would have been at Morehead instead of 5 starters sick....it would have been different...but thats the breaks. To me Fairview or Ashland or Boyd would have made a better showing, (IMO). "Would of, could of, should of....." says alot.LOL!!!

Russell was the best team at the championship of the 16th. NOT the best team suited to represent the 16th. If things happen at Boyd like I hear they are going to....the region is going to be rocked next season...right Tiny?????:fight:

It didn't say you were bashing all year, just after Rupp.About bashing Owens, You will not find one thread that I posted that has anything but positives for Antonio. I was one of his supporters, I think he is amazing. So is this revenge for people talking about Owens? Are you holding a grudge against Russell folks? :irked: Just because a team does not play well one game at Rupp does not mean they were not the best team in the 16th. They did play a pretty darn good team in Graves, which I don't think anybody in the 16th would have beat. But whatever, you think what you want. Now that I know you have a personal issue with Russell Prepers, I can take it for what it's worth.:thumb:

I can respect that, I don't agree but I do respect your opinion.

i hate to sound biased at all about this.......but i think elliott would have represented our region better than boyd or ashland........i think elliott and fairview was the two that would have showed the best (out of the teams in the regional tourney)

It seems that Morgan has had a long run of talent. Is this cycle going to continue? This would be 5 or so years in a row. Where are all the players coming from? Has their AAu ball been that good at younger ages?

Somebody might as well spill the beans on Patrick Patterson from Huntington High School.

Rumors have him going to either Fairview, Ashland, or Boyd? My question is why and how will he get eligible? If it's not him, then who is it and we can put the rumors to rest.

Just to add a little spice to this thread, Pattersons dad does work in Ashland.....
