This is the type of team that the Bengals just cannot beat. Teams that can put up 30-35 make AD have to be great and he usually isn't. Their only chance is to control the clock and hope to get 2-3 turnovers. I, too, wish it were Sunday at 1:00. I am afraid this will be another embarrassing night for the Bengals in front of the nation.

 

The Bengals stand much better chances against Seattle, SF, and Baltimore because they don't have great but good offenses.

There are only two ways the Bengals can win this game.

I can think of no way the Bengals win except that this is the NFL...anything can happen. Also, Peyton's arm looks weaker every time I see him. Hopefully there is a little wind for him to contend with.

With no one picking the Bengals, I am going to be the contrarian and pick the Bengals to win 31-24

This is a bad matchup for the Bengals. Broncos receivers are very good, and the Bengals have really struggled with the pass rush in recent game. I don't include Cleveland because that was Manziel's first game. If they rush only four, Manning will sit back and pick them apart, and if they blitz, not sure if DB's can hold up. The only chance the Bengals have is to basically play keep away on offense, and run the ball as much as possible to keep Manning on the sidelines.

 

Also, lets face it. Have the Bengals even given anyone a game in prime time the last 5 years or more. Who Dey! The good news is, the following week if they beat Pittsburgh, they can still win the division if the Raven's don't win out.

 

Actually, I think the Bengals d-backs are developing into a strength on the team. Newman is having a very good year. Hall and Jones are playing well. Dre is finally showing some signs of good play. Iloka is considered one of the best cover safety's in the league. The entire defense is finally starting to look like a Zimmer defense, even without Burfict.

Iloka is considered one of the best cover safety's in the league. The entire defense is finally starting to look like a Zimmer defense, even without Burfict.

 

I think the Bengals have a very good secondary, but if the DLine cannot get any pressure on Manning and he has 4 or 5 seconds to scan the field, the DB's will not be able to cover that long. (No team against Manning can for that long). Hopefully Kirkpartrick can build off last game and the Bengals bring their A game against the Broncos.

I agree with you. The secondary the last few years has been better than what people want to give it credit for, because most people thought it was just because of the defensive line. However the d-line hasn't gotten the same rush as in previous years and IMO the secondary has played really well except for the Steelers game when all of are older corners finally looked old that game. However if you can't stop the run, then it just makes it that much harder to stop the passing game. The Bengals defense 4 out of the last 5 games have looked like the Bengals defenses under Zimmer.
