What is Mark Stoops' resume? He oversaw a good, not great defense in Tallahassee and has upgraded the recruiting. Oh yeah, he has also won 2 SEC games in 2 seasons.

I agree. I think he is a very good coach, but I don't think Michigan can afford to hire somebody that is not a big name. This is not a knock on Stoops. It is more about Michigan.

And hopefully he will get to that point, but until now he has brought in some talent, that's about it. Bringing in talent and coaching talent are totally different animals.

UM needs a homerun badly and Stoops right now is on base with a walk.

If UM does hire Stoops away from UK (which I don't think they will), I really don't think anyone can say Barnhart let him slip away signing him for an extension which included an nice pay increase.

I would be ok with him leaving. This UK team lacked discipline and passion. Maybe it was a bad year, but they quit after the Mizzou loss.

What about Petrino to UM?

I like Stoops. This isnt a negative shot at him. Its more of he is not had enough hits to get a call for a job this big. Not saying he wont in a few years.

There is some discussion on the Michigan boards indicating that Stoops is on their short list. I am sure that if contacted by Michigan Stoops would at least visit out of courtesy and respect. That said, I firmly believe Stoops will be at UK next year.

I am sorry and I would say the same thing to UL fans. Certain schools you dont say No too if your a football coach. I think UM is one of those schools. I am not sure how Stoops turns down the job. Especailly being the head coach at UK.
